The following Fellow was admitted to the Society: Robert Salusbury Cotton

Book presented: first volume of the second edition of the Biographia Britannica, by Rev. Dr. Kippis.

I C Brooker exhibits an ancient Vellum Roll given to him by Mr Burrell (but owned by Edwin-Francis Stanhope), containing swan-marks from numerous families with ties to the fens; assumed to be from the time of Henry VII or VIII.

Hen-Penruddock Wyndham’s observations on an ancient Church referred to as ‘the Old House’ with Saxon heritage found in Warnford Co. Southampton; supposedly founded by Archbishop Wilfrid prior to AD 700; presumed deviation of architectural design and style since original construction.
