Books presented: Memoirs of the Palantine Academy 2nd and 3rd vols; Alsatia illustrated by Schoepslinus
The Palatine Academy at Manheim return thanks for the copies of the Antiquary Society’s Archaeologia sent to them, and sent in return the 2nd and 3rd Vols. of their Memoirs.
Horns - their martial use, extracts from several Italian and Spanish poets, intended as a supplemental paper by Mr. Bowles to the discourses on that instrument, published in the 3rd volume of the Society of Archaeologia.
A pleasant story of Lorenzo de Acuna Vasques.
John Charles Brooke communicates a Case of Dispute for Precedency, with the determination of the Earl Marshall’s court in a case of 1610 between Richard Brereton Esq, and Christopher Horton.
Remarks by Rev Thomas Crofts on Gov. Pownall’s conjectures concerning the Croyland boundary stone.
Notice given of prints from Mr Vertue’s plates to be delivered to the members.
