Extracts from letters of Mr Bruce, late Algiers Consul, to his friend at Edinburgh [details of politics, geography etc].
The Earl of Exeter’s gift of two volumes from the late Giovanni Winckelmann, entitled Monumenti Antichi ... da Giovanni Winckelmann, Prefetto della Antichita di Roma.
William Norris on a letter from John Cleland, with a book in two parts, one on the attempt at the retrieval of the Celtic or Primitive language of Europe, and on Sanscrit [sic], the other a Celtic vocabulary.
Mr Hillier exhibits a string of beads supposed to have belonged to Pope Clement elected 1523, ob.25-9-1534 [detailed account] of subjects in the beads.
