Correspondence between the Society and Mrs. Lloyd, based in Llandovery, regarding the storage of books for safety, both at her home Cynghordy and with Mrs. Pryce-Rice. Some discussion on the building and storage requirements and impact of holding books on current and future evacuee placements. Confirmation that the Society used Cynghordy for storage for an annual fee of �10 and Ystrad was used for storage by the French Hospital. Confirmation that the first set books were sent on 28 January 1941 and arrived on January 30, with the second arriving in February. Also includes a signed agreement between the Society and Mrs Lloyd, produced for the billeting office and to agree a nominal rent and a full catalogue of the books stored there. There is discussion of some damage to the second set of books in transit, with confirmation that some conservation was carried out on the backs and binding. Confirmation that the books were returned to the Society in September 1945.
