Refusing appointment by the Society to report on the proposed works to Peterborough Cathedral. Note on reverse from A W Franks that he will not accept the refusal.

The report included a proposal that an independent engineer be employed to consider the Society's alternative scheme. The Dean and Chapter refused/evaded the offer and the demolition continued.
