Possibly associated with ‘An Archaeological Survey of Herefordshire’ read to the Society by James Davies Esq on behalf of the Woolhope Naturalists Club on 23 November 1893 (Proceedings Vol XV p5). The Survey was printed in 1896, being Part 1 (Pre Conquest) of 2 Parts of ‘An Archaeological Survey of Herefordshire’ by Bevan J O (available in the Society’s Library, shelfmark 171C).
W H Greene possibly refers to William Henry Greene (1832-1894), a reporter with various publications.
