Scope and content
Series of correspondence relating to the news that around 200,000 mummified cats have been removed from Beni Hasan in Egypt and sent to Liverpool to be sold, with the majority being used as agricultural fertiliser. The letters confirm that many are outraged at this ‘mutilation’ and were working with the Egyptian Government to ensure this could not happen again.
