Scope and content
Letter enclosed with a sketch of a bulla which was discovered in the grounds of the Abbey at Castle Acre, Norwich.

Mentioned in the minutes for 18th June 1835: https://collections.sal.org.uk/sal.02.036.145

There appears to be a drawing of this specific bulla in the collections: https://collections.sal.org.uk/object-ldsal2020-34-25

The sketch is most likely this one held in the Society’s collection, drawn by Samuel Woodward: https://collections.sal.org.uk/object-ldsal2020-34-25

An entry on the Norfolk Heritage page seems to refer to the same bulla: https://www.heritage.norfolk.gov.uk/record-details?MNF15354-Saxon-bulla-(seal)&Index=14394&RecordCount=61672&SessionID=5abf938f-5eda-4f9c-8b05-6578ae869d6f

Although the above web page lists an acquisition number for the Norwich Castle Museum collection it doesn’t appear to be included in their digital collections.
