Letter from Rev. William Venables Vernon regarding the production of drawings of the ruins of the Abbey of St. Mary, as the land had been recently acquired by themselves. A Fellow of the Society suggested that they send copies of drawings recently produced by themselves but he suggests producing a second series of drawings.
A later letter, dated 13 April 1829 and stored in SAL/01/02/029, confirms that the Society did publish at least 1250 lithographs detailing this site.
