Regarding his wishes to exhibit a ring containing a concealed portrait of the Earl of Glencairn during the reign of Mary Queen of Scots, presumably Alexander Cunningham 5th Earl due to the letter stating that the ring was gifted to his Sovereign then returned to protest his closeness to John Knox. He also exhibited a portrait of the princess at the same meeting.
