Miscellaneous items including: (1) News cutting from the Herald dated 10 November 1873 entitled "Dinner and Presentation to Dr Ramage of Wallacehall"; (2) Letter from CT Ramage to his daughter "Carrie" dated 24 December 1877 with family news and enclosing a £5 Post Office order as a Christmas treat; (3) Offprint of "Lines" written on Dr Ramage's "Beautiful Thoughts from Latin Authors"; (4) Offprint of "Sonnet" on Dr Ramage's "Bautiful Thoughts" from Ancient and Modern Authors; (5) Death Certificate of Elizabeth Middows on 14 December 1874; (6) Death Certificate of Craufurd Tait Ramage LLD on 4 December 1878; (7) Manuscript notes in the hand of CT Ramage and headed "Rocking Stone of Glenwhargen"; (8) Deed of Endowment of Wallace Hall School by John Wallace (1723); (9) Catalogue of the Library of the late Craufurd Tait Ramage; (10) Envelope containing (i) a letter from CT Ramage's uncle ( John Lumsdaine) to his mother Elizabeth dated 24 March 1801 following his arrival in Bareilly India, reports on his health and promotion to Lieutenant and enclosing a lock of his hair (not found); (ii) a letter from John Lumsdaine to his father from Shahalad (4 August 1802) touching on his health, pay and plans; (iii)a letter from John Lumsdaine to his mother regarding the death of their father and reporting on recent battles with Holkar "a great Chief of Hindoustan" (8 January 1805) together with an MS transcription; (iv) Extract from the Record of Baptisms belonging to the Parish of Leith and recording the birth of Craufurd Tait as lawful son of John Ramage, Shiftmaster in N Leith and Elizabeth Lumsdaine; (v) certificate related to the marriage of Craufurd Tait Ramage and Mary Patterson, dated 29 August 1842; (11) A sealed home insurance policy for a dwelling at No.9 Park Road, Toxteth Park, Liverpool (July 1850); (12) A letter dated 14 September 1960 from JC Thornton of the Pilgrim Trust to Miss Mary Hill regarding a letter written by Charles Dickens to CT Ramage.
