Wooden printed block; one of forty-four blocks designed by Edward Burne-Jones and created to accompany William Morris's verse rendering the 'Story of Cupid and Psyche’, to be published in his illustrated edition of The Earthly Paradise.

Morris hand engraved at least 35 of the 44 'Cupid and Psyche' printing blocks, with his helpers engraving the remainder. The song while she eats: The singers block seen here has been identified as one of those engraved by Morris.
