Wood and plaster model of the thermal baths on Lipari. The model consists of several chambers with tessalated pavements. The decorated floors lift to reveal the hypocaust system and there are flues in the walls. One of these floors depicts a scene of a mermaid and a sea creature within a chequerboard pattern. The other floor shows a figure upon a stylised horse with a bull and fishes. These are surrounded by a geometric pattern border. There is brickwork detail on the exterior of the model.
