    Portfolio titled 'Plans & sections of the excavations on the line of the Roman Wall, 1894-1903' by Thomas Hesketh Hodgson and Elizabeth Hodgson. The portfolio contains 13 ink on paper hand-drawn excavation plans preceded by a prefatory description and list of plates. Included within the portfolio is a handwritten letter by T. H. Hodgson, regarding the donation of the portfolio to the Society, dated 1st February 1910.
    Prefatory text:

    These excavations were carried out under the direction of Professor Haverfield FSA and the members of the Roman Wall Committee of the Cumberland and Westmoreland Antiquarian and Archaeological Society. They were measured and drawn by T.H. Hodgson FSA and Mrs E. Hodgson of Newby Grange, Crosby-on-Edwan, Cumberland. They are described in Professor Haverfield's reports in the Transactions of the Society, Original Series, volumes XIII to XVI, and New Series volumes I to IV, and in some notes by Mrs Hodgson, Original Series volumes XIV and XV.

    Presented by T.H. Hodgson FSA, February 1910. Includes a letter from Hodgson regarding the donation dated 1 February 1910.
