Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting the signature of John Lambert, General and Parliamentarian during the Interregnum; from a letter dated January 15, 1660, concerning his refusal to abide an order from the Council of State to leave London - he would later be imprisoned at the Tower of London in March of that year. Ink residue remaining on surface.
