Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting part of a lead vessel, possibly a chrismarium, a type of sacramental vessel, from Evesham, Worcestershire; showing a damaged elongated semi-circular fragment, underneath which is attached a rectangular feature, containing three figures; central figure wearing a crown, holding a staff and other hand raised in blessing; flanked by two figures, probably bishops, wearing mitres and holding croziers. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: print of image from the obverse attached to surface with handwritten inscription.
Digitised thanks to the kind donation of Dr Edward Harris MBE FSA.
