Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting series of iron objects found at Holcombe Roman Villa in Devon, showing from top to bottom: two objects, one with a pointed end and the other with a prominent tang and a hooped end; a pair of pliers; a long and thin rectangular bar; and two objects, one a uniform rectangular bar, and the other a triangular-shaped bar. Signed 'Jewitt. Sc.' at the bottom. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: print of image on obverse attached to surface, with additional overlaid printer's waste paper with type.
