Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting the back of an Anglo-Saxon knife found in Kent, ornamented with a jagged vertical line of triangles, with an inscription in Old English engraved along the face of the blade. Signed 'Utting' along the edge of the blade. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: printer's waste paper attached to surface.
