Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting the front of an Anglo-Saxon knife found in Kent, ornamented with scroll-like decorations within panels and a jagged vertical line of triangles, with an inscription in Old English engraved along the face of the blade. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: printer's waste paper attached to surface.
