Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting circular Roman bronze and enamelled brooch from Silchester, Hampshire; in a cruciform design with floral motifs between the arms; a rectangular perforation at the centre; and its section view at the top. Signed 'Praetorius' along the bottom. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: engraver's stamp on surface in purple ink along with unattributed number handwritten in black ink.
