Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting shrine in an underground chamber, or spelaeum, in the Mithraeum in Spoleto, Umbria; showing an inscribed central altar, with two standing stones to its side; one tall with a perforation towards the rounded top; and the other rectangular in shape; with the stone edges to the chamber in the background and to the sides. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: printer's waste paper attached to surface.
