Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting drawing of Roman building remains in South Shields, likely at the fort of Arbeia; showing remnants of wall foundations along a rampart and portico formed of the bases of three columns. Signed 'Jewitt & Co Del & Sc.' at the bottom. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: printer's waste paper attached to surface.
