Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting sixteenth century decorative diamond-shaped glass pane, or quarry, from a church in Westerham, Kent; showing a central figure of a grasshopper stood on grass; the letter 'I' through its nose; representing the crest of the Gresham family. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: printer's waste paper with type attached to surface with handwritten publication reference.
