Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting three vessels from a barrow in Youngsbury, Hertfordshire; a large ceramic globular sepulchral urn, or olla; a smaller globular ceramic jug or urn with a round handle; and a tall, solid glass bottle with a wide rim and square handle. All are stood on a pedestal or slab, accompanied by iron rods or nails, possibly used as fixtures for a pyre; with a scale engraved at the bottom. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: possible manufacturer's stamp obscured by remnants of paper underlay, with unattributed number handwritten on surface in black ink.
