Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting a Gallo-Roman fibula or brooch; with a tubular base, fibrous or wavy materials projecting outwards; with a circular attachment containing series of leaf-shaped and triangular designs. Signed 'C Praetorius' along the side. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: printer's waste paper obscuring trace of manufacturer's stamp.
