Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting iron bar from the Isle of Wight, the upper part in the form of a tang and tapering to a point at the bottom; thought to be preparatory for sword forging. Section view engraved to the side. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: trace of manufacturer's mark lightly carved into surface.
