Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting ceramic vessel from a barrow burial in Yorkshire, with repeated diagonal and vertical lines around the lip, and repeating bands of incised lines encircling the surface below the rim, with alternating bands of zigzag decorations between. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: printer's waste paper with type attached to surface.
