Square wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting a decorative tile from the home of William Gresham, featuring a grasshopper inside a lozenge shape being encircled by the letter G, the upper part of which is intertwined with the letter W, with floral patterns in each corner. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: printer's waste paper attached to surface with handwritten publication reference.
