Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting enamelled heraldic plaque representing the coat of arms of Sir Thomas Bell from Gloucester, featuring a central shield consisting of representations of a hawk, martlets, and bells, divided by a chevron containing horizontal lines. The date 1563 is engraved above, and surrounded by legend within a circle. Signed 'Utting' at the bottom. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: label attached to surface with handwritten publication reference.
