Rectangular wooden printing block with overlay showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting heraldic coat of arms, featuring two lions within a fenced enclosure, flanking a coronet, in turn flanked by a depiction of a baby inside a barrel on one side, and a knight on horseback wielding a sword on the other. At the top of the coat is a ribbon bearing a motto in Latin, 'NOLI IRRITARE LEONES', while underneath is an inscription detailing a bequest from George Babington Croft-Lyons, F.S.A. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: print or proof of image on the obverse attached to surface.
