Reference note

Image printed on p. 501.
Rectangular wooden printing block showing:- Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting site plan of Higher Trevorian "stone circle" in Cornwall and its surrounding monuments, which are denoted by typed captions. Ink residue remaining on surface. Reverse: 'Antiq' handwritten in pencil on surface, between two strips of printer's waste paper.
Though identified as a stone circle in the publication source, it is no longer standing and has been speculated to be either an Iron Age round or Bronze Age enclosure of some kind.

Digitised thanks to the kind donation of Dr Edward Harris MBE FSA.
