Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting the handle of a Roman bronze praefericulum, a type of ritual vase, found in Kent, concave in shape and featuring a figure of an individual's head in a basket, a crossed design of a torch and hatchet, and a further figure of a robed individual at the bottom. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: handwritten publication reference on surface along with small trace of manufacturer's stamp.
