Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting Roman javelin head, described as a pilum; with a triangular head with blunted point, slight barbs and a damaged socketed end; surface appears very corroded and uneven. Signed 'E. I. DEL.' and 'T. WITHY. Sc' at the bottom. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: printer's waste paper attached to surface.
