Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting a section view of the stratigraphy from excavation work at St. Martin's-le-Grand in central London; with several captions denoting the layers of earth under the street level. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: two handwritten signatures on surface; 'Antiquaries 20' and 'I Cleghorn'.
