Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting a reproduction of a woodcut illustration from a 16th century broadside, originally from 1526; showing a bishop wearing a mitre and holding a crozier, with two fingers held up in blessing, in front of three smaller figures kneeling down. Represents a "form of absolution". Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: printer's waste paper attached to surface.
