Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting a sketch of a marble slab from Piedmont, Italy; featuring a dedicated inscription in Latin ('MATRONIS TI.IVLIVS.PRISCI.L ACESTES'); and a series of five Matronae, or Roman deities, holding hands and forming an interlinking chain. Ink residue remaining on surface.
