Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting the ivory hilt of an Anglo-Saxon sword from Reading, showing inlaid silver figurative decorations of animals on the copper pommel and guard, with section views of the top and bottom ends. Signed 'Utting' at the bottom. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: printer's waste paper attached to surface.
