Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting gravestone or sepulchral slab with cruciform design from church in Tarporley, Cheshire; decorated with floral patterns at the arms of the cross; with a horizontal crack towards the base of the stone; and an inscription in Latin flanking the design on either side. Signed 'Utting' at the bottom. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: printer's waste paper with type attached to surface.
