Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting gravestone or sepulchral slab from Tarporley, Cheshire; with ornate floral design taking the shape of a crucifix, and an inscription in Latin bordering the design on either side. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: printer's waste paper with type attached to surface.
