Rectangular wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting two Irish hand bells; one ("Monaghan Bell"; right) a smaller rectangular cast bronze bell, with its handle missing; the other ("Clog-na-Fullah"; left) made of iron and coated with bronze, with its handle missing and seemingly perforated in areas. A section of the block has been cut away, to accommodate space for an image caption in its original publication source. Signed 'Utting' underneath the larger bell. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: printer's waste paper attached to surface.
Digitised thanks to the kind donation of Prof. Richard Rastall FSA.
