Square wooden printing block showing:-
Obverse: carved and engraved design depicting trilateral bronze spur found in Colchester, Essex; with a pointed shank and two curved heel bands. A section of the block has been cut away, to accommodate space for an image caption which can be seen in the original publication source. Ink residue remaining on surface.
Reverse: printer's waste paper attached to surface.
