The arm ring is described as a 'Double annular gold arm-ring, with stamped ornament ... and linked terminals consisting of six animal-heads and two faceted rectangular knobs.'

The article includes a transcription of a letter from Francis Douce concerning these gold antiquities. The letter suggests that the Society should 'direct their Draughtsman to make accurate Drawings of these most precious Relicks, in order to preserve a faithful remembrance of them.' This letter is in the Society's minute book for November 1812.
