Refers to the excavation of Windmill Tump, at Rodmarton, Gloucestershire, by the Rev Samuel Lysons in 1863, and includes an illustration of a stepped stone not unlike the one in this drawing. The barrow is not far from the Upper Thames at Cricklade.
