Mid 19th century
Weapons found near Tiperary [sic] in Ireland: They are of a mixed metal of the colour of gold even when broken; and are of the size they are drawn. The handles were of a material that is perished; and were fixed into the part marked A. of which there are different views. These arms are in the possession of Councillor Harris in Dublin.
