In the Church Register is the following Memorandum 'In the East Window of Goodnestone church there is some Remains of Christ on the Cross and John and Mary on each Side. And on the left part of the Said window Mary with Jesus in her arms and underneath a Man kneeling in a clerical habit with these words on a label ascending -
'RobertoNatum, pia virgo, redde placatum.'
