To Royal Society of Antiquaries
I received your Letter of Explanation of the Inscription taken of Stones dug up near Corbridge in Jany. 1803. I therefore make bold to send you this Inscription exactly taken of a Stone found near the other, the Stone is 6½ Inches Square, on the top of which appears to have been the foot of some Image. I have about 40 Coins, which I purchased of Labours, found under, & among the Ruins of the buildings. some of which is very perfect, I would gladly send them for yuor Inspection but I am afraid they be lost by the way, I have also a hollow brass Ring, a large Needle and a hollow brick tube, with Several other pieces of Antiquity. I shall be highly obliged to you for the Explanation of this paper, & shall always strive as much as in my power to promote any future discovery...
