    The item is a reprint from James Brown's letter to Nicholas Carlisle, the secretary of the Society of Antiquaries, which was published in Archaeologia (see Bibliography). It contains a description of a stone coffin discovered behind the manor house at Kingsbury, near St Albans. The coffin contained a skeleton and vessels of pottery and glass.
