The cards were purchased by HS London in 1915, but may date from as early as the Coronation of King Edward VII in 1902.

Part of the HS London Bequest, 1959. Listed at item 12 in HS London’s personal library catalogue (LON/08/02), purchased 1915. It appears to have been placed with the other items in this box because of its similarity in format to other such notebooks, although its contents are more closely related to the subject matter of LON/10 (formerly SAL MS 934).
