Scope and content
Loose notes and unfinished drawings, mainly for arms attributed to named saints, arranged in alphabetical order from St Alban to St William of Maleval, followed by a sequence of Passion heraldry (Arma Christi). With references to locations in England, and to MS and printed sources.
These were probably working notes for HS London’s project for the frieze of shields in Holy Trinity church, Geneva: there is some overlap with material now in LON/17/01 and LON/17/03.
