Notebook giving a detailed description of the altars of a number of the churches in Cornwall, specifically: Tywardreath, St. Ewe, Lanreath, Phillack, St. Veep, Probus, St. Creed, St. Michael Penkevil, St. Columb Major, Gurnard's Head Chapel, Towednack, Madron's Well Chapel, Cambourne, Pendarves House ans St Wendron. The reverse of the notebook contains a list of references, including full descriptions and/or quotations, photographs and newspaper clippings relating to religious artworks, particularly those which feature an altar, to sites all over Britain.
